FERRI F4N
The FERRI F4N is a multipe, semiautomatic drill, of four 28 kg., pneumatic hammers, for work with integral bits of 718' (with 28 to 32 mm. tips), and a maximum length of 2.40 m. (4m. and 6 m. on 2nd and 3rd perforations). It is oneman operated, with an average drilling capacity of 80 linear metres/ hour*

The drill is easily fitted on an excavator of approx. 16 T in the workshop or at the quarry site.

 

   
All movements of the drill, as 'well as activating and stopping any of the hammers drilling 1 penetration pressure, stop and automatic withdrawal of hammers are controlled from the panel in the cabin.

Remote control (with or without cable) makes
it possible for the operator to work from the
cutting line itself, thus improving equipment's
productivity.
The hydraulic circuit of the excavator is used
for the positioning of the drill on the cutting line and for the vertical and horizontal movement of the hammers by means of hydraulic cylinders and motors with brakes.*Assesing drilling logs in different materials and quarries.

The drill maintains a fixed position during the entire drilling process on a 3.5 m.
cutting line thanks to its three legged support, and rigid arm and work beam
of the excavator fitted with counterbalance valves on the hydraulic cylinders
in these elements.

Pressurized air which drives the hammers is supplied by a compressor external
to the equipment.
The equipment is fitted with a 'NOZZLE' function, i. e., automatic reduction of
thrust and pressure in the hammers at the start of drilling. Bore sweep is done
by pressurized water (from the tank supplied or other independent source) or
by air (with optional dust trap).

An air preparation unit on the line (filter and pressure reducer), independent lubrication for each hammer hammers fitted on silent-blocks and automatic soft nozzling on the bits mean that the FERRI F4N drill has a long working life, with
no breakdowns, and very significant savings on bits (minimum breakage).
