 Primary Feeder Sizer
The DFS 2500 continuously fed Primary Feeder Sizer has been developed to withstand the harsh environment of 'in-pit' crushing whilst combining minimum maintenance with high throughputs and low operator costs.
The heavy duty chain conveyor pulls material out of the hopper and feeds it under the slow speed high torque breaker roll which is fitted with easily replaceable tungsten carbide tipped picks or bolt on cast teeth.
The slow speed breaker roll is designed to produce minimum fines, and the chain conveyor is capable of being started even with a full hopper.

In-feed material of 2 m#3 can be processed at up to 1800 tonnes per hour and the final product tailored to suit customer requirements between 150 and 450mm.

Hoppers up to 140 m#3 are designed to suit differing applications and are capable of accepting direct loading by 110 tonne capacity dump trucks.

The outsides of the hopper can be used as retaining walls/ramps saving on the cost of building permanent concrete ramps.

The crusher can be fitted with an additional breaker roll to form a two stage sizer capable of accepting even larger in-feed material.
Crusher roll and conveyor drive are via. reduction gearboxes, fluid couplings and electric motors.

A control system ensures that the crusher is optimally fed at all times by monitoring electric currents at the drive motors and automatically stopping and starting the conveyor as necessary.

In the event of a complete stall due to oversize material being unable to enter the crushing chamber, the conveyor can be reversed and the blockage cleared within seconds.
