Coping stone is a stone placed at the top of the wall to serve as a
cover for the wall. Cut roughly and spaced irregularly, the coping
stones create a rustic appearance. The type of stone coping used on
walls varies from area to area and often from wall to wall. They are
available in an assortment of shapes, sizes and colors.
Types of Stone Coping
Difference in patterns of coping provide the most obvious
characteristics of different walling styles.
- Upright Coping: This is the most common form of

(doe) stones to give a castellated effect.
