Scattered outcrops of Cambrian and/or Hadrynain (Proterozoic)
sedimentary rocks and/or their metamorphic equivalents. Most of
the upper Fraser
River drainage, which follows the NW trend of country rock, is
covered by Quaternary alluvium and glacial deposits.
Property:
underlain by pale quartzite, exposed as several small to
medium-size 'humpbacks' whose long axes follow a northwesterly
trend; probably part of Cambrian Yanks Peak Fm.
Mineralization:
An
abundance of quartz crystals of gem stone quality.
Work:
Work
has focused on evaluation of quartz silica of fiber optic or glass
quality.
