LOCATION
AND ACCESS:
The Arrayan claims and property are
located in northwest of Murcia Region, in Moratalla township,
Spain. The claims has an area of 2434 hectares = 6008
Acres, at a maxim height of 1000 m above the sea-level.
The lands spread over a valley between two mountain aligments at
a height of 350m.
- The
accesses to the property, the production centres and transport
on the outside are:
- By
road: Calasparra and Moratalla cities to 12 km, Murcia city
to 90 km by Highway
- By
Railroad: The property is located to 12 km from the Railway
Station.
- By
sea: Cartagena harbour to 140 km.
- By
air: San Javier airport to 140 km.
REGIONAL
GEOLOGY :
Inside the property and after a geological investigation has
been observed three types of materials of economic interest:
·Dolomites.
·Limestones.
·Pudding stones (pudingas)
The
important rocks situated in the Arrayan property are
being commercialized under the name of IMPER and CREMA
respectively.
Their qualities are the following:
- IMPER:
It deals with a dolomie of fine grain and grey tonalities and
smooth texture. This material is in great demand within
ornamental rocks nowadays, and the exploitation of this type
of rock does not suffer fluctuations in the market. The price
in commercial blocks of 6m3 ranges between 150 and 300 USD/m3
depending on the rock quality.
- CREMA:
Bioclastic limestones and nodule limestones of clear crema
colour. The bioclastic limestones are considered as the
outcrop section with more possibilities of extraction. The
price in commercial blocks ranges between 100 and 150 USD/m3
thoug in exceptional qualities can amount to 300 USD/m3.
- PUDDING
STONE:
It is conglomerate of round stone form 1 to 5 cm diameter and
sandy matrix. This material is very valuable in the
American market, where the natural materials are worthy
enough.
The average price of this material in Spain ranges about 80
USD/m3. The perceptive reserves are
estimated in more than 52 millions tonne potential, which
corresponds to the volume of outcrop rocks on surface; the
real reserves are more important, as these rocks have
continuity under sterils wich cover them.
CONCLUSIONS:
Field observations and geological investigations indicate that
the Arrayan Property meets several important necessary factors
needed, to host an economic deposit of Industrial minerals ie,
commodity, tonnage potential, road access, low to moderate
topographical relief, cellular phone coverage, close proximity
to major transportation routes, and the local availability of
industrial
areas for the construction of production plant facilities,
power, water etc.
The
Property and claims are located in an area with good road
access.
The nearest community of Moratalla, is primarily a
resource-based town,
with the elaboration marble industries being the primary
employers.
